Tips:
Some of mine... for lightweight ply panel building (1) epoxy/glass all panels in the flat, (2) calculate the weight of resin to be used for the weight of cloth, (3) pre-wet the ply panel, wait, add remaining resin to insure dry spots covered, (4) roll your glass onto PVC tube then roll it out onto the ply, (5) use roller/squeegee to bring resin up through the cloth, (6) when resin is NOT yet cured hard but just green, use a metal edged scraper tool, 6\" minimum width, to shave the surface to a near mirror finish. This saves a lot of cost and weight in extra epoxy second coat that is typically used to fill the weave and then mostly sanded off, so saves lots of sanding too

Mike's note: This is a good method but it is not always necessary to wet plywood first when you are using very light fiberglass like the 3 oz. we use. The metal scraper idea is a great one and I can't believe I forgot to mention it........note that the non-tooth edge of an old hacksaw blade works very well here.
