2010 Notice of Race (Indian Summer Splash)
Multi Marine in partnership with Fairwind Yacht Club will run what will probably be the biggest offshore multhull event in the country on Sept. 17-19, 2010 at the Marina del Rey Launch ramp with an additional start in Long Beach, Ca. and Channel Islands Harbor if desired.
One topic of "lecture" will be "the latest in synthetic ropes and shackles.
ORCA type boats are eligible but a boat does not have to be a member of ORCA or a Yacht Club to partipate in this event.

Schedule:
Friday: Skipper's meeting 9 A.M. (mandatory) 11 A.M.(GPS time) Start for first class. Race to Cat Harbor from MdR or Long Beach then at 6 P.M. Start of B.B.Q. at Cat Harbor Sat: Party all day ... seminars, hikes, dinghy races, etc. There will be a lecture on "Reading the water" .
Sun: Noon start at West End of Catalina for a race back to Marina del Rey Trophy party after last finisher.
Classes and Crew: Classes will be determined depending on entries and class rules will apply to any group which has more than 5 boats in their class. A combination of ORCA ratings and FCA ratings will be used, this is due to the nature of "out of town" boats coming to this event. Any boat may request their rating in advance. There will be a cruising multihull class if there are enough boats.
